Design Details was founded in 1989 by principal Charles W Cameron, a graduate of Boston Architectural Center Interior Design Program. Since then the firm has produced designs and overseen construction for a wide variety of residential and commercial projects including stores and restaurants, loft conversions, adaptive re-use, and residential additions.

Kitchens, baths, and fine furniture cabinetry have become a major focus of our work in the past many years. Thanks to our established connections with providers of high quality casework, such as Heritage Custom Cabinetry, we are able to accomplish designs with an unusually high degree of detail no matter what the desired style.

Along with good storage and efficient circulation; scale, color, texture, lighting, and architecture all have a significant effect on the final success of a great design.
We try to encourage great design, and creative problem solving is integral to our design process; exploring new ways to use materials and resources to maximum effect.  Once the requisite brainstorming is completed we draw on our experience to methodically direct the decision making process. The result is an authentic and satisfying expression of our client’s needs and wants.
